About Seneca EIS Portfolio Fund

Since its launch in 2012, the Seneca EIS portfolio fund has invested more than £50m of EIS funds. The minimum subscription is £25,000 and portfolio size is five or more companies. The fund typically invests more than £500,000 and seeks to exit between three-five years. To date, it has invested in 41 companies and more than 70 investment rounds have been completed. Seneca’s network of more than 300 entrepreneurs provides advice.

Formed in 2010, by a group of senior financial-services professionals, Seneca is an investment management and corporate advisory business specialising in working with SMEs with turnover of up to £100m. It targets well-managed businesses, looking to grow further, which can demonstrate proven concepts, a strong balance sheet and evidence of profit and cash generation. It supports businesses with debt and equity funding. To date, Seneca Partners has helped more than 100 companies.
